A soldier suffers injuries from the explosion of an IED. The injuries he suffered include closed-head injury resulting in loss of consciousness.

Now, after 6 weeks of treatment, he is medically stable and functional but continues to complain of fatigue, headache and disturbed sleep. It is likely he is at higher risk for more severe impairment and PTSD if he were to suffer another similar explosion.

The line commander needs experienced people to patrol so he wants you to return him to duty.
