Ethical issues that arise in the context of civil-military cooperation. Often, the different roles and (self-) perception of civilian and military actors can lead to ethical issues on the ground. Definition of CIMICNATO's definition of CIMIC can be found in the MC 411/1 doctrine: "CIMIC is: The co-ordination and co-operation, in support of the mission, between the NATO Commander and civil actors, including national population and local authorities, as well as international, national and non-governmental organisations and agencies." (NATO MC411/11) Each main category should over time have a short introductory text that explains the main ethical issues of the category and its sub-categories. |
